The Black Gold Genetics family would like to thank everyone who came out to Crestwood on April 30th. We appreciate everyone who came out to help that week, visit with us and those who purchased animals. It could not have been possible without the help and support of everyone, including those of our guest consignors M Bar M and Valley Oaks Angus.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the new sire ACC Bourbon 0115 in the Select Sires Directory.
Black Gold Genetics is a progressive registered Angus seed stock producer. Headquartered in Robinson, Illinois, Black Gold Genetics began its start in April of 2014. The Jones family has owned the picturesque property for over 13 years. Comprised of both cattle and grain the Black Gold Genetics name comes from the fifth generation crude oil and natural gas business that remains in the family today. The Robinson location is one of the multiple farm operations dedicated to the Black Gold program. It being the heart of the program the majority of ET work and AI utilization take place there. Angus cattle roam the rolling hills of the over 1,000 acre ranch located in Southern Illinois. This site is also host to the Black Gold Genetics main business office. As the herd size continued to grow Black Gold Genetics seized the opportunity to expand by merging with Missing S Angus of Brownstown, Illinois. In the fall of 2015 Black Gold once again expanded in operation size by starting up a Bluegrass Division. This new endeavor located in Crestwood, KY encompassed an existing 1800 acre operation formerly known as Taylor Cattle Farm. This new division has now become a focal point for marketing and sale preparation for Black Gold Genetics. The Bluegrass Division will host the 1st Annual Production sale for Black Gold Genetics on April 30th 2016
